Condolences
What a long and varied life Joan had. I loved working with her at the airport as a White Hatter. We all went crazy over her Nanaimo Bars! Right up to the Pandemic you could count on her! Bless you Joan!
Murray and I knew Joan through the White Hat Program for her 22 yrs there. She was always so cheerful and dedicated to the program. I (Elaine) kept in touch with Joan after COVID and visited her in the Fanning Centre for her stay there. We would talk on the phone and she was always so cheerful and positive about life. Rest in Peace Joan. I will miss our phone calls.
Although I’d only known Joan through my friend Tina, Joan was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. It is a great loss to this world. Rest easy Joan. You’ve earned it.

Joan was an absolute gem. My conversations with Joan inspired me to be more adventurous. Truly Joan is who I aspire to. Positive, tireless , intelligent, beautiful.
Joan and I spent 10yrs together Volunteering at YYC..... what wonderful memories...a great lady to work with! I shall miss her. Rest in Peace my dear friend!
Joan was an awesome neighbour for more than 20 years. She was a member of our Condo board for many years. Joan knew our building & helped everyone. She is sadly missed. Rest easy Joan.
Joan was my neighbor for more than 20 years. She did so much for her church and within our condo. She did everything with passion and reliance. She was proud to be a White hatter at the Airport and to work for the Red Cross, both of which she volunteered. Joan left a indelible mark on people and will be remembered fondly by all that knew her. Rest in peace Joan.
We knew Joan through her involvement in the Calgary Airport White Hat program. She was a tireless and reliable volunteer, travelling to YYC by bus every Friday. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and a wonderful team member. She also had a sharp sense of humour. We feel lucky to have known her.
