Dear Hanson Family: We were saddened to hear of Phyllis' passing but rejoice with you knowing your dear mom, grandmother and great grandmother is now home with her Lord Jesus she loved and served so well. We were profoundly blessed and impacted by both Pastor Gordon and Phyllis over the many years we knew them. They were authentic examples of Christian life with kindness and compassion shining through all they said and did. Their voices are now silent but their words still speak. We give thanks for the inspiration and enduring legacy of faith they leave. Truly the memory of the righteous is a blessing. (Proverbs 10:7a). We know God's peace will sustain you at this time with the blessed hope of the resurrection we share.

Dear Hanson family,

Visiting with Phyllis was a highlight of my time at Advent, I have many memories but my favourite is going through the church library books with her and finding one titled, “How to be a Pastor’s Wife.” We sure had a good laugh as we looked at it and then she checked into straight into the recycling bin. I admired her deeply and was so blessed to bring Communion to her.

Bob and i want to send our heartfelt condolences to you on your Mom’s passing. Phyllis was a dear friend to us both over the many years. We were a part of many ministries that your folks began, Caring Community, Marriage Enrichment, Child In Our Hand, and we also benefitted from the counselling of Pastor Gordon. We met with Phyllis many times at Augsburg Book Store, a favourite place for us too. She was a blessing to us in our lives and we appreciated her and Pastor Gordon so much. We have lost touch since ill heath for all of us, but we have kept in touch through prayer.
