Obituary of Nicolaas Willem Roelofsen

March 1, 1947 – Bodegraven, Netherlands

June 4, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the unexpected passing of Nicolaas "Nico" Willem Roelofsen on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.

A passionate and active individual, Nico loved playing pickleball with neighbours, entertaining audiences with his jazz band, and was an avid golfer. For the past 26 winters, he found joy in their home in Mexico, spending time with family and friends. Staying fit with daily swims, he particularly enjoyed playing beach volleyball and always looked forward to happy hour sunsets.

Nico was predeceased by his beloved granddaughter, Thea. He is survived by his devoted wife Tineke, loving son Patrick, and his treasured granddaughter Brynn. Nico is also survived by numerous family members living in Europe.

Nico's vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
