Obituary of Mabel Elmer

Mabel Elmer passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Calgary, AB, at the age of 84 years. She was predeceased by her husband Robert Glenn Elmer (2014). She leaves behind her son Bruce (Alison), daughter Leslie, granddaughter Alex (David), great-grandchildren, Alyssa and Brooklynn, a brother, sisters, and many relatives and friends.
Mabel was born in Cardston, AB, on October 4, 1939, to Parley and Grace Williams. She spent her early years growing up on a farm near Cardston, where she would meet and marry her husband Glenn in 1957. Mabel and Glenn lived in Lethbridge, then Calgary, and would eventually move to Olds in 1964, where she spent most of her life raising a family and working in banking at the local ATB branch.
Mabel’s interests included dancing, painting, drawing, exploring nature, and gardening. She enjoyed family vacations to warm destinations and cruising with Glenn and friends. Mabel was a kind and gentle person who liked to laugh, smile, and hug. She was loved and adored by many and will be dearly missed.
There will be no funeral service. Mabel’s ashes will be placed next to her beloved husband Glenn, in the Olds Cemetery Columbarium (Legion section) by family members at a later date.
