I first met Joyce when I hired her for an audit assignment at Suncor. She was very knowledgeable and loved her work. We both had a passion for audit and systems and became friends, sharing a love of travel, crafts and volunteering as well. She was always upbeat and always there to help friends, family and anyone in need.

We traveled a few times together and she was always bubbly and a calming presence.

She is missed.

I first met Joyce when we both business undergrads at the U of A. in the early 70’s.

I had just transferred up from U of Calgary and didn’t know anybody.

I remember Joyce sitting in the seat ahead of me in one of my classes. On the very first day of class, she immediately turned around and started chatting with me.

I will always remember her as this lovely, friendly, outgoing and very bright girl.

Condolences to the family. She was a very special person.
