Bob Jones, beloved husband of the late Joy Jones, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the age of 73 years.

Bob was born in Calgary, AB, on March 16, 1951, and was the son of the late Bea and Bonnie Jones.

He grew up in Calgary and attended SHS and then graduated from SAIT as a Journeyman Parts Person. He then went on to have a successful 54-year career, as a dyed-in-the-wool Ford man. Bob was a proud member of Uncles at Large and was always eager to volunteer his time to help others. His last act of generosity was to donate his eyes.

In his free time, Bob enjoyed dirt biking, riding his motorcycle, and playing golf with his friends and coworkers. In the winters he enjoyed hockey with the Ogden Lushes, an old-timer's team. He was passionate about spending time with his family and friends and always made sure to make the most of his time with them.

Bob will be deeply missed by his sisters, Bonnie (Ted) Sturgeon and Jacqueline Jones, by Joy’s children, Dan Swan and Barb Reycraft, four grandchildren, nine nephews and nieces, nine great-nieces and nephews, and numerous other relatives and friends. Bob was predeceased by his brother Don Jones.

We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the staff at Dulcina Hospice and the medical team at the Foothills Medical Centre - Unit 102 for their care and support.

He was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend. Bob will always be remembered for his kind heart, generous spirit, and love for his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Funeral Services will be held at the Springbank United Church (250011 Range Road 33, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at 3:00 p.m.
