Condolences
My condolences to the family and friends of Eric. I hold fond memories of working with Eric on multiple strategic planning initiatives… such a wise and insightful leader.
Terry Clarke
We have lost a great man, a good friend, someone who knew how to be a leader and get the best out of many different kinds of people. I feel privileged to have worked for him for some twenty years, through some very interesting and sometimes challenging times for our industry. Without his support and guidance, my career would have been very different, and almost certainly much less rewarding. I shall never forget his friendship and encouragement.
It is just a year ago today that Margaret died and now Eric has gone too. Bob and I have memories of so many good times together in homes and parks celebrating Christmas Eves and birthdays with the Shelton’s. Eric was an organizer who loved to theme parties; trips to Tofino in February, star gazing during summer solstice, a sock hop at their local community centre and once in their living room when they cleared away all the furniture so we could recreate our youth to music of the sixties, a wiener roast for Eric’s 40 th and a “red” party when he dyed his hair red for his and Bob’s 60 th and invited all their friends to celebrate
Although the past few years appeared to be difficult Eric was able to reach out to friends until he didn’t. Our lives have been enriched by knowing them.
