Obituary of William Terence Neville McCartney

William Terence (Terry) McCartney, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully, surrounded by family, on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at the age of 91 years.
Terry enjoyed a successful business career, where he was well-liked and respected by his colleagues and associates. He contributed in various ways by volunteering in the community and was recognized by Governor General Michaelle Jean for his many volunteer years with Meals on Wheels.
Terry had a gift of making everyone feel accepted and special. He was a wonderful listener and a great storyteller.
His greatest love was his family. He leaves to mourn his devoted wife, Joan (nee Roberts), with whom he shared seventy loving years. Terry will be lovingly missed by his five children, Robert, June (Scott Robertson), Jane (Mark Jobin), Catherine (widow of Charles Tulloch), and David (Candace nee Kroeker); his nine grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren, all of whom he adored. Also left to mourn is his brother Desmond of Richmond Hill, ON, the Roberts clan, and the Jobin clan. Terry was predeceased by his brother Fred.
He will be sorely missed by all.
