Obituary of Margaret Violet Vogel

May 15, 1945 – Broadview, Saskatchewan

July 8, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with heavy hearts, that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Margaret "Margo" Vogel, who departed this life peacefully on Monday, July 8, 2024, at the age of 79 years.

Margo Vogel was born on May 15, 1945, in Broadview, SK, to Cyril "Jack" and Mary Jarnett. She was a loving and devoted mother, sister, and friend, whose kindness, generosity, and unwavering love touched the lives of everyone who knew her.

She is survived by her children, Marla Vogel and Michael Vogel; her sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Bryan Conway; her nephew Morgan Conway and niece Reagan (Conway) Gjerde; her aunt Linda Forbes and her family; and numerous friends.

Her family and friends were her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment spent with them. She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter "Wally" Vogel, and her parents, Jack and Mary Jarnett.

Margo had a passion for knitting and travel and had many fond memories of her work with friends at the Lloydminster Hospital. She was known for her caring and giving nature, particularly for the many baby hats she knitted for newborns at the hospital. Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Margo’s life will be held at the Marwayne Community Hall (210 S 2 St, Marwayne, AB) on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 2:30 p.m.
