Obituary of David Gregory Clarke
June 11, 1941 – Barrie, Ontario
July 16, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Greg Clarke passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2024, at the age of 83 years.
Greg was actively involved in the Lions Club, St. John’s Ambulance, Scouts, and various community organizations. He was proud of his achievements and service in these organizations, serving as Past District Governor for the Lions and receiving numerous volunteer awards and recognitions throughout his life. Greg was also passionate about model trains. The three words that best describe him are family, volunteerism, and determination.
Greg is survived by his loving daughter, Joanne Turner (Pat Davis) of Veteran, AB, son, Bryan Clarke (Michel Bourque) of Calgary, AB, grandchildren, Lindsey Leikeim (Chad), Kevin Turner, Tommy Turner, Archie Davis (Kaitlyn), and Laura Davis; and great-grandchildren, Patricia Leikeim, Jack Leikeim, Lexi Davis, and Kaysen Davis. He is also survived by his two brothers, David of Mississauga, ON, and Dan of Ottawa, ON; and his sister, Rosemary of Calgary.
Greg was predeceased by his wife, Chris, his parents, David and Rose Clarke; and his son, Patrick.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to neighbour Breagh Bender for your kindness and support, as well as to the staff of the South Health Campus Unit 68, for the excellent care and compassion they provided.
A Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held at a later date.
