Condolences
Sharon, Rob, Patti and Keith,
So sorry to hear about the passing of your dad. I was unable to attend the funeral as was on vacation. Our family have such wonderful memories of your father, as he was such a kind and gentle man! Now that Gord has joined the gang , the circle is complete, and the wine is flowing! Sheri and Gord, Tink and Kathy, Terry and Marg together again!
It was my privilege's to attend the funeral of Gordon uniting once again, the Palmer- Madill connection. Gordon welcomed Wally to the Alberta Wheat Pool in 1958 where he performed the valuable service as Chief Accountant and worked his way up to international prominence in accounting fields. However, Gordon's skills extended well beyond numbers to become known by many
as A Gentleman in his personal, moral and social life.
Sherry was a strong, valued partner welcoming Wally and me to join other AWP couples to their home to enjoy evenings of great food and entertainment, often featuring charades. Shery would be so pleased to see her family of four blossom into successful adults with lovely children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was a kind man, a respectful man, a gentle man, a loving man. He was loved, he will be missed, he will be remembered. He was my Great Uncle Gordie! The Palmer’s are an amazing family, a testament to Uncle Gordie and Auntie Sarah. Join your bride and dance once again.
Kathy and Robert
To Gord's family. Your Dad/Grandfather was my Mom's neighbour at Swan. I often had a few words with him by the windows on the 4th floor while he sunbathed, or a quick 'hello' at his open door. He was always smiling and chipper. I'm sorry for your loss, and will miss seeing him at Swan.
