Obituary of Marjorie Marie Chandler

Marjorie Marie Chandler passed away at AgeCare Glenmore in Calgary, AB, on the afternoon of Sunday, July 21, 2024.
Marjorie was born on March 27, 1937, in Anamoose, North Dakota, to her parents, August and Marie Dockter.
She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Ben Chandler, and their four children, Kurt (Tracy) Chandler of Salem, OR, Tani (Bob) Cocking of Calgary, AB, Marlys (Ted) Schieck of Toronto, ON, and Darci (Garfield) Beckford; as well as seven grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by five of her siblings, Delores Bohlender of Kansas City, KS, Herbert Dockter of Chehalis, WA, Clifford Dockter of Vancouver, WA, Betty Larson of Velva, ND, and Marion Killian of Houston, TX.
In 1959, Marjorie graduated with an associate degree in Christian Education from the Pacific Bible College (now the Warner Pacific University) in Portland, OR. She and Ben met there, and following his graduation in 1960, they pursued Christian ministry together in Washington State, Western Canada, and Australia.
A Memorial Service celebrating Marjorie’s life will be held at Glamorgan Church of God (4715 45 St SW, Calgary, AB) on Friday, July 26, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the Church.
