Obituary of Patrick Henry de Sa

September 17, 1946 – Hong Kong, China

July 17, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with the saddest of hearts that we announce the passing of Patrick Henry de Sa on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.

He will be dearly missed by Sharon, his loving wife of 52 years. He was a wonderful and caring father to Christopher (Christina) and Michael (Kerri), as well as a fun-loving Gramps to Taylor, Keelie, Jae-lyn, Keegan, and Mikayla. He was also looking forward to being a Great-Gramps to a new little boy in November.
 

Pat was predeceased by his father Henry, his mother Marie, and his brother Henry Jr. Pat is survived by his sister Patricia, his niece Zinha (Richard), his nephew Tony (Sue), and their families, as well as his sister-in-law Jenny, and niece Jennifer.

Pat was born and raised in Hong Kong and immigrated to Vancouver, BC, where he started his career with Pacific Western Airlines, working in Vancouver, Yellowknife, and Rainbow Lake. He also worked for Canadian International Airlines and Canadian Regional Airlines in Cranbrook, Toronto, and Calgary, where he retired. Pat especially enjoyed the years he spent volunteering in the community of Cranbrook. He demonstrated leadership, love of community and family.

After retirement, Pat and Sharon enjoyed many years relaxing, taking many trips in the winter to Hawaii, and journeying on cruise ships, particularly a special cruise to the Mediterranean and the Greek Isles.

He filled his family and friends’ hearts with immeasurable joy, great humour, and love for each of us.

At Pat’s request, there will be no Funeral Service.
