Condolences
The Horne Family has gifted The Salvation Army so generously for over 35 years. George & Hansel's commitment to their community, their compassionate hearts and philanthropic gifts have provided for so many vulnerable Calgarians over these years. I am so deeply sorry for Hansel and the entire family. Your loss is felt by so many but I know that George is in the arms of our Lord. George was a kind, happy, caring man and he will be greatly missed.
I cycled with George as a member of the FLC cycling club. Although he was 20 years older than me, he was so strong it was a challenge to keep up with him. As I remember, he liked hills!
May Peace be with all of George's family.
Sincerely,
Marsha Degenhardt
Our deepest condolences to David Horne and all of George Horn's Family on their loss.
Your father was one of the original 7 of the FLC Outdoor Cycling Club now called Old Spokes.
Your father and husband was a real explorer of new trails and introduced us to the Bragg Creek Area.
He was proud of the Horne family homestead on the drive out Highway 66.
He gave me the confidence to explore and grow in cycling.
We've got our fond memories of George, Murray and Susan Karn
