I went to wrestling in North Sydney and Leo Burke was my hero as a kid when I was 5 years old. Thank you and our brothers for putting on some great shows and such fond and great memories! RIP Leo Burke , fly high !
Thinking of you Kat and Ryan lots of love hugs from Auntie Alison Forbes
Travis, Kathryn and families,
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time. I am Leo’s cousin. His father was my father’s brother (Cecime Cormier).
We had not been in contact for a long time. I moved from Calgary to Arizona. I remember him fondly and am proud of him being a Canadian wrestling legend.
Dave Cormier
He was a great wrestler I remember when I was a kid going to the Halifax form always look forward to seeing him on the card. All his matches were great. Follow him for years and his brothers. Definitely gonna be well. Miss fly high Leo. Send my prayers and condolences to the family

The greatest of all time. This statement is not up for argument. Watch the match of Leo and Rick Martel Halifax Forum on YouTube. One of the best matches ever performed.
Will never forget meeting Leo after a match in New Glasgow when I was a kid. Those were the glory days of wrestling.
Condolences to family, friends and colleagues.
As a kid I was a big fan of leo Burke when he came truro I would go and see him my mother would take me back to talk to him o remember one night my mother spotted him sitting off by himself she said let's go talk to him I'm thinking if he off ɓy himself he probably doesn't want to be nowhere now I'm not sure if that's what wanted or not but we went very friendly like always he always made me feel special condolences to his family I will never forget him and hid kindness sincerely Angela Blackmore
Deepest sympathies to all of Leo's families. I enjoyed going to the Victoria Park Pavilion in Calgary and watching him on Stampede Wrestling. Soon became friends with him and attended Family gatherings, Parties and Golfing with him at the OJ Open and many other events. Rest in Peace Leo.

Leo is a true wrestling legend he helped me Chuck Simpson because Pretty Boy Simms ….. I was in the road with him he taught me so much about being a good wrestler and a better human …. Rest in peace my friend …. Have PEACE TRAVIS AND SISTER.
My deepest sympathies to Leonce’s family and friends. He used to stop at my Mom and Dad’s restaurant in Memramcook with Killer Karl Krupp and Sweet Daddy Siki and Many other wrestlers for ice cream on their way back and forth from NS to Moncton. The greatest of times. Thinking of you Travis.

He gave hours of excitement to his fans in NS. Always a champion.

I grew up having the pleasure of watching Leonce wrestle in Halifax and Berwick several times during my younger days. There was a special magic about him in the ring which made him stand out from others. He was in a league of his own.My deepest condolences to his family and friends.
My deepest condolences to the family
He will be missed by many xox
My deepest Sympathy, to Travis and Kathryn.
I will never forget all the good times we had.
Our families were close for so many years.
Try to take comfort in the fact your Dad loved you very much.
I'm sure it was a great reunion. With your Dad and my parents. Sending love Karen Hazel
In 2010 I completed a Leo Burke DVD Set with every piece of footage I could find of him. Through the assistance of Vance Nevada I was able to get a copy to Leo. I learned that Leo had left his house to go to a show and his daughter asked if there was any footage available of his career and he said he would try to track some down. That same day, he arrived at the show and Vance handed him the DVD set I'd made. When he got in touch he was so happy that he had footage to show his grandchildren.
I was fortunate enough to talk to Leo a few times a year for about five years after that and I cherish all of our chats. I didn't have the good fortune to meet him but feel like I got to know him well.
I want Leo's family to know how much the friendship I was able to develop with him for a time meant to me and more importantly how obvious his love of family was. He was a great guy and I will miss him
My deepest condolences to Leonce's family and friends. I grew up watching him wrestle and he was a pillar and legend of Canadian Wrestling. He will be missed by many, but never forgotten.
