Obituary of Evelyn Ruth Mohn
November 24, 1941 – Prince Albert, Saskatchewan
July 30, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Evelyn Mohn of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, July 30, 2024, at the age of 82 years.
Evelyn was born in Prince Albert, SK, and raised in the New England district of Birch Hills, SK. She grew up on the family farm where she helped her dad at harvest time, as well as raising her own calves for a time in the 4H club.
She married Clive Mohn in 1965 and moved to Calgary soon after. Evelyn was an avid curler while growing up and she was a Saskatchewan Roughriders fan. She was an Avon representative for over 40 years with many of her customers becoming close friends.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Christine, Doug, Carmen, and Heather, all who reside in Calgary, as well as numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Clive, father and mother, Robert and Ida Brown; father and mother-in-law, Arthur and Margaret Mohn; brother Alex, nephews, Terry and Todd; as well as other family members.
She will be remembered for being a loving friend who cared about her family.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McInnis & Holloway (Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB) on Wednesday, August 7, 2024, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Graveside Services to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 – 4th Street NW, Calgary, AB).
