Obituary of Anne May Kimoff

May 7, 1936 – Toronto, Ontario

September 8, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Anne Kimoff on Sunday, September 8, 2024, at the age of 88 years.

Born and raised in Toronto, Anne met the love of her life, Bob, and together they embarked on an extraordinary journey. Bob’s football career took them to Edmonton, where they celebrated two Grey Cup victories before eventually settling in Calgary. There, they made a lasting impact on the city’s growth and development.

Anne was a spirited entrepreneur, running pro shops for Calgary’s athletic clubs and making her mark in the community. She was also a dedicated member of the PEGG Wives Association, where she spent countless hours fundraising and enjoying time with friends over a game of bridge. Anne’s vibrant energy and love for sports were matched by her deep connection with family and her cherished traditions of Sunday family dinners. She found joy in the simple pleasures of tennis and long walks with her beloved dog, Max, who was her loyal companion.

Anne will be lovingly remembered by her family, her daughter Katherine (Gary) Thompson of Vancouver, son Robert Jr. (Theresa) of Calgary, and son Stephen (Kris) of Vancouver. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Michelle (Brad), and Braden (Michelle), both of Calgary. Her beloved dog, Maxi Magoo, will miss her dearly.

Special thanks to the staff of Unit 71 for their remarkable and compassionate care of Anne.

A Private Celebration of Anne’s Life will take place on Saturday, October 26, 2024, in her honour. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
