Obituary of Kathy Stefan
November 29, 1943 – Wishart, Saskatchewan
September 9, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
Kathy Stefan (nee Bucko) passed away peacefully on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the age of 80 years. She was born on November 29, 1943, in Mozart, SK, to Paul Bucko and Mary Maximovich (nee Hawerychuk).
Kathy’s upbringing on the family farm gave her a toughness that she carried through life until the end. She shone in her career as an accountant and office manager with a love for detail and organization. Kathy always kept herself busy with a life full of friends, camping, curling and golf, volunteering, and travelling. She loved finishing a jigsaw puzzle so she could see the whole picture.
Kathy will be dearly missed by her son Kevin and his wife Kimberly; her sisters, Anne (Arnold) and Sylvia; her brothers, Paul, Eugene, Raymond (Karen), and Harold (Barb); as well as many nephews, nieces, and other family members. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 25 years, Stuart, as well as her brothers, Mike, Andy, and Stephan.
