Beverley Garside of Airdrie, AB, passed away on Saturday, September 7, 2024, at the age of 62 years.
Beverley was born in Toronto, ON, on October 1, 1961. She moved to Calgary, AB, in 1979, where she worked for Calgary Co-op for over 30 years.
Beverley enjoyed reading, especially Margaret Atwood, and she was an avid amateur author herself, writing both poems and short stories. She also enjoyed watching hockey, baseball, and recently tennis. In her teen years, she was a member of a track and field team and raced in the 800-meter event.
Beverley is survived by her mother Marion Garside and her brother Steve Garside. She is also survived by her oldest son Shane Horton, youngest son and daughter-in-law, Daniel Horton and Christine Horton; and her beloved grandchildren, Zakkary and Olivia Horton.
Beverley was predeceased by her father Colin Garside, and her older brother Bruce Garside.
Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, September 14, 2024, at 2:30 p.m. Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
