Obituary of Lorenzo Cordero

Lorenzo Cordero, beloved husband of Yolanda Cordero, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Thursday, September 12, 2024, at the age of 81 years.

Lorenzo was born in San Fernando, Pampanga, Philippines, on September 28, 1942. Lorenzo married Yolanda in 2002, and they moved to Calgary, AB, in 2013.

Lorenzo was a member of and regularly attended the Jesus is Lord Church in Calgary. He accomplished much throughout his life and was particularly proud of knowing Jesus Christ as his personal saviour.

Lorenzo’s most memorable vacation was when he attended the wedding of his son Eric in Canada, together with his wife and his other son Edwin. He enjoyed their time together and travelled to many tourist spots in Canada.

Lorenzo enjoyed watching sports, particularly basketball, boxing, and billiards. He will be most remembered for his passion for sewing, alterations, and gardening.

Besides his loving wife, Lorenzo is survived by his two sons, Eric Cordero of Calgary, AB, and Edwin Cordero of the Philippines; and his five grandchildren, Keren Cordero, Saul Cordero, Jonathan Cordero, Micah Cordero and Lemuel Cordero. Lorenzo is also survived by his brother and two sisters, Ponciano Cordero, Paulina Patawaran and Corazon Cordero; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
