My condolences to Don’s family on his passing! I am so saddened by his death and by not having been present at his funeral to pay my respects to one of the kindest and caring people I’ve ever known and worked with. Don would do anything needed for his students and colleagues, and was so well respected for that generous spirit. I’m very fortunate to have known Don! Rest in Peace, Sir!

Our hearts go out to Don’s family during this difficult time. Don’s early school friends – including those I have been in contact with, Gary, Elissa, Robert, Gaye, Marilyn, and many others – from Vincent Massey, Western Canada High School, and the University of Calgary want to express our deepest condolences. We are truly saddened by the loss of a gentle soul.

Don was a gentle, thoughtful and kind person. His family was central to his world and he received outstanding and compassionate caring from them throughout his life. He has left an important legacy through his educational accomplishments and will be remembered fondly by his family and many students.
