Marie “Jeanine” Pollock, beloved wife of John Pollock, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Friday, September 20, 2024, at the age of 90 years.

Jeanine was born July 30, 1934, in Calgary, AB, and later married her high school sweetheart, John in 1957. This started a wonderful 67-year journey together. As John pursued his career, Jeanine expertly managed the family, balancing life with children as they moved across Canada and even spent a brief time in Houston, Texas.

Jeanine dedicated herself to raising their children, caring for their family dogs, and welcoming friends and family to their home. As her children grew more independent, she embraced new opportunities, volunteering and taking on various part-time jobs, enriching her life and the lives of those around her.

She is survived by her husband John, children, Lori Whalley of Calgary, Bob (Wendy) Pollock of Kelowna, and Sandra (Kevin) Blake of Calgary; her six grandchildren, Trevor, Nicole (Devon), Courtney, Ben (Meghan), Stevie (Dan), and Joey (Grace); and her great-granddaughter Tatianna.

Jeanine is predeceased by her parents, Ross and Bertha Ward; brothers, Jack (Isabel), Neil (Joan), and Jim (Shirley), her son-in-law Peter, and grandson Matthew.

She will be dearly missed.

As per Jeanine’s wishes, a private family service will be held.
