Obituary of Marie Elaine Reppon

Marie Reppon of Calgary, AB, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 69 years. Marie was born in Calgary, AB, on February 9, 1955. She graduated from St. Francis High School in 1973. Marie married Bill Reppon on February 14, 1976. Marie worked for Canada Post for many years and retired as a Canada Post worker in 2017.

Marie accomplished much throughout her life. She was an amazing, devoted wife and raised three kids who now have their own families. Marie loved her fur-baby grandkids, Bailey and Meika. Marie was also passionate about the Calgary Stampeders and the Calgary Flames making her voice heard even through the T.V. All families knew when a game was on, she would be sipping her cup of coffee, sitting on the edge of her seat while cheering proudly when they scored. Marie was truly passionate about the things she loved, and you could tell by the way she acted when she was around her loved ones.

Marie absolutely loved family dinners, get-togethers, and occasionally a fire in the backyard to just enjoy. She loved being outdoors, enjoying the beauty of nature around her. You could tell when she was having a good time by the way she smiled while having good times with the people she loved the most.

She was instrumental in the days when all three of her kids were in the marching bands. Every day she made sure they had clean uniforms, shoes shined, and her kids were out the door on time. The same went for getting them ready for school each day. Marie made sure that her kids had everything that they needed to be successful in life.

Marie enjoyed her days of being a football mom when her son was playing for the Hilltoppers and the JG Diefenbaker Chiefs. You always knew when she was in the stands because her cheer was always loud and proud. She was deeply proud of her three kids.

Marie always put herself last in life to make sure her children always had what they needed in life, she was a loving caring mother and always did everything possible for them with what she had, even when she had it tough, she still always put herself last and the ones she loved and truly and deeply cared for.

Marie always took great joy when her grandkids were around for family events or just a special visit, enjoying every moment she had. Especially when the game was on, she loved all the time she had with her family and friends.

Marie is survived by her mother Joyce Grace, her daughter Anne-Marie (Shane) Paton, her daughter Melissa Reppon, her son John (Natasha) Reppon, and her grandkids, Devin Reppon, Shessa Paton, Madison Reppon, Sierra Reppon, Maddox Paton, and Briana Reppon; all of whom she loved and deeply cared for. Marie is also survived by her siblings, Rob and Carol Grace, Michelle Grace, Micheal Grace, Tracey and Terry Larson, and Nadine and Richard Virgo; as well as many cousins, nephews, and nieces.

Marie was predeceased by her beloved husband William (Bill) Reppon, her grandson Jaxon, her father Phillip Grace, her father and mother-in-law, Bill and Lorraine Reppon; and her sister-in-law Brenda Reppon.

A Gathering in remembrance of Marie Reppon will be held at 246 Panamount Heights N.W., Calgary, AB on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 3:00 p.m. All family and friends are welcome to join. Light snacks and refreshments will be provided and a guest book to sign by all who attend.
