I was fortunate to have Helen as an additional grandmother of sorts, one who lived in much closer proximity than my biological ones, so that she was a constant presence to my sister and I growing up. She had the kindest of hearts, and a warm inviting soul. Helen invited us into her home and made us the most amazing chicken noodle soup over lunchtime when our parents were both away on school days. We spent many hours chatting and putting together puzzles in the evening. I am grateful to Helen for being such a wonderful addition to my childhood. My sincerest condolances to her wonderful family, she will be dearly missed by everyone who knew her.
