Obituary of Leslie Anne Zubick

It is with great sadness that we announce our dear sister and aunt, Leslie Zubick, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on Monday, October 14, 2024, at the age of 62 years.

Our beloved sister is survived by her siblings, her twin sister Lorelee (Robert), Cheryl, Lane (Brenda), Leann (Martin), Karla (Ray), and Karen (Bruce). She is also survived by her cherished nephews and niece, Daniel (Danielle), Curtis (Michelle), Josh, Jordan (Andrea), Lindsey (Alix), Melissa (Ron), and Jonathan (Brooke); grandnieces, Ellie, Mya, Zoey, Josephine; and grandnephews Brooks, Ronin, and Blair.

Leslie was born and raised in Calgary. She graduated from Crescent Heights High School in 1979. She grew up within the Crossroads community, where she was an outstanding pitcher for the women’s softball team for many years. Her career included roles at Alberta Government Telephones (AGT), as a special needs assistant for the Calgary Board of Education (CBE), and as a daycare assistant.

Leslie’s passions included cheering on the Calgary Stampeders and Calgary Flames and spending time with her family.

She was much loved and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Leslie was predeceased by her parents, Russell and Marilyn, and will be laid to rest with them at the Rocky View Garden of Peace.

A Private Family Celebration will be held at a later date.
