Obituary of Kevin Michael Stagg

On Sunday, October 20, 2024, Kevin went peacefully to be with the Lord; he was surrounded by his loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Kevin is survived by his daughter Rachael (Nick), grandchildren, Carter and Logan; son Ian (Bre), mother June, siblings, Kim (Kirk), Ken (Shannon), and Kent (Dale); and various nieces, nephews, cousins, and in-laws. 

Kevin grew up in Calgary, AB, and completed multiple degrees at the University of Alberta. He met many lifelong friends throughout his school years and maintained those friendships continuously. After graduating from university, he moved to Chicago, Illinois, USA, to work. It was there that he was set up on a blind date by friends and met the love of his life, Amy. After the proposal, the pair moved back to Calgary, where they built their lives together. 

Kevin utilized his business, economic, and accounting skills to open a consulting business that he and Amy ran together for several years. In the early 2000s, Kevin found his passion and began his career at Samaritan’s Purse/Billy Graham Evangelistic Association. Kevin’s love for the Lord was evident as he led various teams at these organizations for almost twenty years. 

Kevin will be remembered for his love and care for all who knew him, as well as his delicious barbequing, apple pie baking, and accents that he could pull out at any moment. His love of golf, hockey, and scotch will live on through his family and friends and the countless memories they have all shared. 

A Celebration of Kevin’s Life will be held at RockPointe Church - Bearspaw Site (255024 Lochend Rd, Calgary, AB) on Saturday, November 2, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
