Condolences
My heart felt condolences to the Howard Maerz family. This is the loss of a most wonderful woman here on earth. Our loss and heavens gain. You'll be truly missed Aunt Erika.
My dear brother Howard and all your family. I want to express condolences for me and my family to you all. We sorrow greatly for the loss of Erika and have deeply saddened hearts. We remember Erica and her tremendous hospitality to us many times and her friendly demeanour to make us feel welcome and loved. She always had such delicious meals and pastries and served them to us with tremendous finesse. We remember her love for you and her kids and grandkids. This flowed out of her love for God. May you know the comfort of the Holy Spirit at this time. Love Les Maerz and family.
My dear Erika.
You were a beautiful sister-in-law, deep loving friend, and shared your love in your opening your home.
I will cherish the memories in your home and ours. Yes the times of sharing over strong coffee at the Coffee Traders and walks along Main Street in Cochrane that led us to Tumbleweedz! We both loved many of the same things in life.
You shared your families with me and they were all very special to me too.
Thank you for all your loving support over the years we had together. Be blessed in His arms now and till we meet again
Loving thoughts , Elaine
The extended family in Ontario sends you all our love and prayers during this difficult time. We grieve alongside you and hold dear the wonderful memories we have of Erika.
Some of us fondly remember growing up with her in Germany, and all of us cherish the joyful moments of her visits to Ontario over the years.
Family meant the world to Erika, and she always made an effort to stay connected despite the distance between us.
We will forever treasure the memories of her warm phone calls, her compassionate listening ear, and the heartfelt welcome she gave us whenever we visited her.
May God grant you comfort and peace in your time of grief.
With much love and deepest sympathy,
Erika’s cousins:
Kaethe, Traudel, Helga, Giselle, Angela, Karen, Ruth, Dorothea, and their families.
I remember Erika leading the Ladies Ministry at Thornhill. She was so good at encouraging young leaders, including me. We have happy memories of Erika and Howard opening up their Ranch so our small group could "camp out" for the weekend. They generously shared their home, property and food with so many of us. Her kindness and smile will not be forgotten. Praying for you all as a family. Carol Klammer ( and Brian)
Dear Howard and family.
It is with deep sadness that we heard about the passing of Erika. Because of Erika's strong faith and commitment to Jesus Christ as Lord we rejoice knowing that she has safely made it home and we will see her again. Our thoughts and prayer are for comfort and peace today and in the days to come.
Numbers 6: 24-26
