Ellen May Cymbal, of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 81 years.

Ellen called Calgary, AB, home, her whole life, where she proudly raised her three children. Ellen had a long career with Calgary Transit and was one of the first people to be chosen to ride on the inaugural C-Train run.

After retirement, Ellen had more time to focus on her lifelong passion for crafting and was known for her beautiful, crocheted slippers and blankets that she loved to make for her family. She also had a green thumb and spent countless hours tending to her flower beds.

Ellen is survived by her brother Peter (Sandy), sister Susan, daughter Kathleen (Robert), her two sons Shaun (Debbie) and Chris (Lori), her seven grandchildren, Kayla, Jessica (Carly), Taylor, Sarah, Shaun, Carleen, Cierra and her four great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her parents Peter and Edith.
