Greg Baxter passed away at home in Calgary, AB, on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, at the age of 60 years. He was born on January 19, 1964, in Calgary, AB, and lived here his whole life.
Greg was always interested in how things worked and when growing up he enjoyed taking things apart and figuring out how to put them back together again. He later used this interest and skill to study at SAIT and become a Journeyman Electrician, a job he loved. He was proud that his first job as an apprentice was working on the construction of the Olympic Oval for the 1988 Olympics.
Greg’s favourite pastime was listening to his vast collection of music, and he also was an avid movie watcher. He had a passion for watching hockey and many other sports on TV, he looked forward to participating in the annual hockey pools with his buddies.
He loved and cherished the fur babies he had over the years, especially his Yorkshire Terrier Scamper and kitties Bandit, Scouty, and Hunter.
Greg was a beloved son, nephew, grandson, cousin, and a friend to many. He is survived by his mother, Lynn White, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. There will be no service but a private gathering for family and friends will be held at a later date.
Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Gregory’s family here.
