Obituary of Robert Blyth Miller
May 30, 1941 – Calgary, Alberta
October 24, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta
It’s with great sorrow we announce the loss of Robert Blyth Miller. He is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Laura Mae (Salmon), and his three boys, Scott, Jimi, and Patrick, and grandson, Vincent.
Bob was a proud Calgarian, growing up in the heart of downtown Calgary, AB. Bob attended McDougall School, finishing at Western Canada High School.
In Bob’s early years, he always talked about going to movies at the Empress Theatre, grabbing a soda and burger, or whichever he could afford. He enjoyed hanging out with friends at the Crystal Pool. He also had many fond memories of shining up his ’48 coupe and cruising down Eighth Avenue. Most of all, he bragged about his beautiful wife and his three boys. He worked very hard to protect and support them.
We are all very grateful for his love and support, and we will miss and cherish every moment we had with Bob.
Condolences, memories, and photos may be shared and viewed with Bob’s family here.
In living memory of Robert Miller, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Park Memorial, 5008 Elbow Drive SW, Calgary, AB T2S 2L5, Telephone: 403-243-8200.
