March 28, 1976 – Creston, British Columbia

October 26, 2024 Calgary, Alberta

Angela Marie (nee Elliott) Kelter was born March 28, in Creston, BC.

In Angela’s formative years she grew up in Saskatoon, SK, until grade seven, when the family moved to Calgary, AB. Calgary is where Angela attended junior and senior high school.

She then studied for two years, towards a medical degree at the University of Calgary, however decided to pursue a career as an IT Professional, obtaining her Computer Science Degree at SAIT.

Angela’s education led her to pursue her career as a Senior Project Manager and IT Management Consultant, holding a distinguished Project Management Professional designation, with her contributions spanning many industries including Veresen Incorporated, Pembina Pipeline Corporation, FortisAlberta, and most recently AltaGas Limited. She was particularly proud of her work as Director of IT at STARS Air Ambulance.

Angela loved to dance so it is no surprise that she met Tim at Billy McIntyre’s, a meeting which became their 30-year love story. After several years of dating, Tim proposed to Angela resulting in their April 28, 2001, wedding. Shortly after that, they welcomed their daughter Carolyn and their son Tyson. Angela was a devoted wife and mother whose sincerity and kindness powerfully inspired those around her.

Angela loved the outdoors and was passionate about spending time with her family hunting pheasant.  It brought her great joy and she  enjoyed the time walking the field with Tim and Tyson.  She was an incredible shot and even won some sporting clay competitions.

Angela's life was characterized by an adventurous spirit and a profound appreciation for travel. Together with her husband and the love of her life, Tim, and their beloved children, Carolyn and Tyson, cultivated remarkable memories at various destinations, including Belize, Las Vegas, and Maui. Their family vacations featured activities including searching for wild chameleons and chartering deep-sea fishing trips in Costa Rica and the Florida Keys. Closer to home, Angela and Tim frequently hosted family and friends at their coastal retreat at Inn of the Sea near Ladysmith, BC, where they shared their passion for fishing, ensuring that all guests experienced the excitement of reeling in significant catches, culminating in meals of Chinook Salmon, Ling Cod, and Spot Prawns. Angela found tranquility here, connecting with the serene beauty of nature. Her essence will perpetually resonate in the fluttering wings of a hummingbird, the majestic flight of an eagle, the soothing sound of rolling waves, and the salty ocean air carried by the breeze.

Angela was deeply committed to advocating for others, leaving a legacy of compassion and achievement. Her tenacity and resolve were evident in her dedication to personal fitness and philanthropy. She actively participated in cycling events and triathlons, successfully raising significant funds for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta. Embodying a formidable spirit, she consistently overcame obstacles and never accepted defeat, particularly in her relentless efforts to find a cure for her daughter Carolyn’s cancer.
