Condolences
Our beautiful Tammy will be forever missed. There are countless lives she touched with her wit and wisdom.
We have so many memories that make us smile and show the wonderful person she was. Each morning when she’d arrive at work, she could brighten our day with a simple “Hi!” as we’d catch up on life. We could always count on Tammy to be spontaneous and state, “I’m in!”
Good friends like Tammy are hard to find, harder to leave, and impossible to forget. The world is a little bit darker without Tammy in it. We will miss her immensely.
Our forever friend.
Love,
Kelly, Lanna & Kaitlyn
“A piece of our hearts is now a star in the sky.”
I was so lucky to work with and learn from Tammy at the neurology clinic at ACH. She was so kind, empathetic, and an overall wonderful human. I am so sad to hear of her passing. My condolences to her family. She will be so so missed.
Tammy and I became friends after being introduced by a mutual friend. It took just minutes for us to click as we shared professions, had similar opinions about just about everything, and had the same wicked sense of humour. Tammy was the strongest, most resilient person I know. Learning of her death was so painful, and thinking about her husband and kids having to live without her is devastating. Today I thought about her beautiful smile and soul while standing atop a mountain, the sky a brilliant blue, a soft wind, the sounds of nature, and it dawned on me that she's still with us, just in a different form, She's everywhere we see beautiful pieces of life, and everytime we hear beautiful sounds. Brian, Heydon and Sarah I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers tomorrow as you say goodbye. Godspeed.
Love Val
To a beautiful friend . You will be forever missed
To the family of Tamara,
I've worked with Tamara since she started in our neurology clinic and Tamara was never going to be someone you could easily forget. We worked together on many patients' care and she always did a wonderful job of ensuring that thoughtful and comprehensive care happened in a timely manner but also in an enjoyable manner. Tamara has left her mark on all of us because of her capacity as a caring, experienced and capable nurse and as someone who brought joy to our department. My favorite Tamara comment was when she wondered if I "spit balled" my answers when I didn't have a great rationale for my perspective. Tamara also always had a funny comment for any of the events we were experiencing as a group or couple of healthcare providers, you couldn't walk by her desk without getting an entertaining "sassy" comment.
I don't attend the social events our nurses share outside of work hours but always loved sharing in the stories of the times Tamara and the rest of our nurses spent together. Tamara always had fun and created fun when she was at work and away from work with our group.
I recently broke my wrist and that led to Tamara sharing with me when she broke her wrist (?twice) and HOW she broke her wrist by jumping off the garage roof with her older brothers. Again, she made me laugh.
I should also add that Tamara also always had pictures of her son and daughter posted at her desk positioned in such a way that made you want to ask questions about them, how they were doing and what they were doing.
I/we will be missing Tamara's presence immensely. I/we're very thankful for the chance to have known Tamara as she added so much to so many of our lives and lives of the kids she cared for.
