Obituary of Edward Heavenfire

Edward Heavenfire, Kaskitew Muskwa, of Tsuut’ina, AB, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024, at the age of 65 years.
Edward was a deeply traditional and cultural person who found great joy in attending powwows and round dances. He cherished the vibrant sense of community and spirituality these gatherings provided. Edward also had a passion for creative expression, spending hours singing, beading intricate outfits, and crafting beautifully resonant drums, each piece reflecting his connection to his heritage.
Edward is survived by his wife Jeanne, his children, Nicole, Adele, Ian, Dakota, Isabelle, Lyndsy, Arnold Sr., and Charity; siblings, Russell, Donald (April), Louie (Laura), Gladys (Jim), and Marlene; dear friend Annlyn, as well as his numerous nieces and nephews, adopted children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. We apologize if we missed anyone.
Edward was predeceased by his first wife, Theresa, parents, Edward Rowan and Christina Heavenfire; brothers, Tom, Albert, Jerrold, Gilbert, and Steve; sisters, Alvina, Barbara, and Louise; grandsons, Hayden, Randen, and Raven Moon; aunt Sarah, and uncles Dan and Albert.
Wake Services will be held at the residence of Edward Heavenfire, (42 Two Guns Road, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB), on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at the residence of Edward Heavenfire (42 Two Guns Road, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB) on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service to follow at the Heavenfire Cemetery (452 Six Mile Coulee Road, Tsuut’ina Nation, AB). Reception to follow at Edward’s residence (Tsuut’ina Nation, AB).
