Obituary of George Dale Neuman

October 18, 1948 – Regina, Saskatchewan

November 5, 2024 – Calgary, Alberta

George Neuman, the beloved husband of Sharon (nee Meyers) of Regina, SK, passed away on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the age of 76 years.

George worked for Co-operators for 40 years, retiring in 2007, where he made numerous friends, some of which were like family to him. He later went to work part-time at Sobey’s, where he made many friends, co-workers and customers alike.

George loved golfing, fishing trips with the boys, camping, curling and cheering on his favourite team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders. As well he loved travelling with Sharon to Hawaii, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Cape Breton, to name a few.

George is survived by his loving wife, Sharon; two daughters, Jennifer (Matt) Palmer and Megan (Mike) Teare; two sons, Jason Behr and Dannen (Cindy) Pomfrey; and twelve grandchildren, Benjamin, Nicholas, Kayla, Katelynn, Chase, Robbie, Hunter, Alesandra, Mila, Kalen, Harper, and Hudson. George is also survived by his three sisters, Joan Colombier, Julie (Atilla) Laszlo, and Mary Neuman; sister-in-law, Linda (Craig) Melnyk; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

George was predeceased by his son Christopher; his parents, Julius and Elsie; four brothers, Bill, Michael, Louis, and Peter; sister Coralie Neuman; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Ludwikowski and Jerry Meyers.

A Celebration of George's Life will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Deerfoot South, 12281 – 40th Street SE, Calgary, AB) on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 2:00 p.m.
