Obituary of Anna Maria Palombi (Tiberio)

Anna Maria Palombi Tiberio (nee Ermini) passed away peacefully with her family by her side, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at the age of 87 years.

Anna Maria Ermini was born on August 14, 1937, in Greve in Chianti, Italy. At age 21, she immigrated to Calgary, AB, and married John Tiberio in 1959. In 2002, she married Umberto Palombi, and they spent sixteen wonderful years dividing their time between Canada and Australia until her illness required her to remain in Canada.

Anna had a passion for being with family, quilting, sewing, needlepoint, and playing cards. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, visiting family in Italy, travelling to new places, and creating beautiful works of art with her skilled hands.

Anna was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She leaves behind her husband Umberto Palombi; three sons, Giuseppe (Kathy), Tony (Sharon), and John (Leanne); stepdaughter, Aurora (Graham); along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and countless others whom she welcomed, loved, and treated as family.  She was predeceased by her first husband John Tiberio, and all her siblings in Italy.

Anna's bubbly, energetic, generous, and fun-loving personality will be dearly missed.

The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all those who have offered their support and comfort during this time. A special thank you to all the staff at Aspira Retirement Living (previously Amica) for their excellent care of Anna.

Reception to follow in the Parish Hall. A private family inurnment will take place at the Eternal Springs Columbarium at St. Michael Catholic Community.
