Obituary of George James Fraser

It is with profound sadness that we share the sudden passing of George James Fraser on Tuesday, November 12, 2024, at the age of 72 years, in Calgary, AB.

Born on May 29, 1952, in Winnipeg, MB, George was the beloved son of Joyce Millice-Fraser and Grant Fraser, and stepson of Roy Millice.

George was an amazing husband and father whose career in geophysical exploration connected him with people all over the world. George and his wife, Debra Fraser (Rosvold), shared an extraordinary 54 years together. They raised two children, Evan Fraser and Megan Fraser, and built a life filled with love, laughter, and countless dogs.

George is survived by his brothers, Grant Fraser and Graham Fraser; his stepbrothers, Wayne Millice, Eric Millice, and Chris Millice; and his brothers-in-law Shawn Rosvold, Kelly Rosvold, Kerry Rosvold, and Scott Rosvold. He will also be dearly missed by his extended family and countless friends made throughout his life.

George was known for his dry wit and dad jokes, tireless work ethic, and his love of a fresh pair of black socks.
