Donald “Don” Quinnell of Calgary, AB, passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024, at the age of 62 years. He was surrounded by his loved ones.

Don was born in Calgary, AB, on October 29, 1962, at the Holy Cross Hospital. He graduated from Central Memorial High School.

He loved spending time with his family and his grandchildren. He enjoyed riding on his Harley-Davidson Motorcycle across the country and through the mountains with his beloved girlfriend Sandra Jenkinson.

He will be most remembered for his joy of socializing with his friends and family, going for a rip on his motorcycle, and stopping at his favorite drinking holes. He had a love for his animals (his cat Harley, and his dogs, Bud, Button, and Kane). He was a hard-working man who took pride in his job in underground construction. Don’s favourite quote was, “Do as I say, not as I do.”

Don is survived by his three loving children, Seamus (Courtenay) McConachie, Sinead (Mathew) Forsythe, and Justin (Angel) Quinnell; and remembered as a loving papa to his nine grandchildren, Hayden, Colyn, Skyeler, Brogan, Parker, Gracelynn, Maddock (McConachie), Loki, and Dax (Forsythe).

He is also survived by his mother Mona Quinnell, brother “Al” Glenn Quinnell, as well as numerous cousins and friends.

Don was predeceased by his father Glenn Quinnell.

Funeral Services will be held at McInnis & Holloway (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street N, Calgary, AB) on Monday, November 25, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Queen’s Park Cemetery (3219 4 St NW, Calgary, AB). Reception to follow in the Hospitality Centre at the Funeral Home.
