Obituary of Margene Nalder

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Margene Nalder, who passed away on Sunday, December 1, 2024, in Calgary, AB, at the age of 64 years.
Born on November 27, 1960, in Calgary, AB, Margene was the cherished daughter of Gene and Marjorie Nalder.
Margene lived a life full of love, creativity, and adventure. She took great pride in her family and found immense joy in her roles as a mother and grandmother. An artist at heart, Margene delighted in painting, crafting blankets, and creating handmade treasures that her loved ones will continue to cherish.
Margene had a passion for travel, creating unforgettable memories around the world. Some of her most cherished journeys included revisiting Australia in 2003, where she had lived as an infant; her trip to Houston, TX in 2004 with her daughter Ashley to visit her brother Preston; a special trip to Jamaica in 2005, the last one with her father; a Panama cruise in 2008 with her mother and sisters Jeanette and Laura; a Cousins Cruise around Mexico in 2018; and countless other adventures with friends and family.
Margene is lovingly remembered by her mother, Marjorie Nalder Kannarr; her children, Ashley Hartman (Lucas), Claire Davidsen (Nick), Lance Davidsen, and Bryce Davidsen (Tanis); and her adored grandchildren, Mason and Morgan Hartman, Melia, Owen, and Hailey Jo Davidsen, and Leonardo Chasovskykh.
She is also survived by her brother Roy Nalder, her sisters Laura Nalder and Jeanette Patterson (Dave), her sister-in-law Christina, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
Margene was predeceased by her father, Gene, and her brother, Preston.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Margene's life will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Fish Creek Chapel (14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, AB).
In her memory, a tree will be planted in the Ann & Sandy Cross Conservation Area by McInnis & Holloway Funeral Homes, Fish Creek, 14441 Bannister Road SE, Calgary, Ab t2x 3j3, Telephone: 403-256-9575.
