Obituary of Lorendal Tasha Angel Simeon

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, sister, mother, and grandmother, Lorendal Simeon, on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 35 years.

Lorendal grew up in Mînî Thnî, AB, surrounded by her relatives. She also spent time in Eden Valley, AB, in her younger years. As a child, she attended Morley Community School and Bowness School in Calgary, AB, and she also recently upgraded her education.

She was fully engaged in her traditional culture, including attending Sundance ceremonies, travelling to and dancing in Powwows and Round Dances. She especially enjoyed spending time outdoors, camping, and making dried meat.

Being a mother is what Lorendal enjoyed most of all, she was extremely proud of her children. She was a kind, humble, loving, and caring person, and always had the ability to make people laugh. She always tried to fulfill everyone’s needs.

Lorendal is survived by her husband, Lolly, and her children, Kyson, Savannah, Winter, Morphus, Jerome, and twins, Lakota and Dakota. She is also survived by her only brother, Chris; her sisters, Chrystalyn, and Harveen (Robbie); her adopted sisters, Jessica (Gabriel) and Marie (Canseco); her sisters-in-law from Eden Valley, Glennis (Andy), Max (Striffen), Tuffy (Byron), Roxanne (Ali), and Mandy (Emery); her nephews, Delywn, Decoy, Elias, and Kyrell; her nieces, Maimi, Zade (Keiven), Sayla, Reil, Brooklyn, and Anjelica; her six grandchildren, and numerous aunties, uncles, cousins, and friends, including extended family from the Simeon, Twoyoungmen, Young, Amos, Poucette, Kaquitts, Francis, Daniels, Holloway, and Powderface families.

Lorendal was predeceased by her mother Charlene Simeon, father Russel Twoyoungmen, stepfather Albert Stevens, her sister Maria, her grandfather Albert Amos, and grandmother Hanna Daniels.

Wake Services will be held at the residence of Erica Simeon (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Sunday, January 26, 2025, starting at 1:00 p.m.

Funeral Services will be held at Morley United Church (Mînî Thnî, AB) on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. Graveside Service to follow at Bearspaw Cemetery (Mînî Thnî, AB). A Traditional Feast to follow at the residence Erica Simeon (Mînî Thnî, AB).
