Obituary of Charles Chuck WILSON
March 8, 1944 – Saskatoon, SK
May, 15, 2014 – Calgary, AB
It is with heartfelt sadness we announce the passing of Charles (Chuck) Wilson at the Foothills Hospital on Thursday May 15, 2014 at the age of 70 years.
Chuck had a zest for life, always a hardy hello and could captivate you with his soft baby blue eyes and conversation. He was a very kind and caring soul that would always make you feel at home. Chuck cherished his close circle of friends and they indeed cherished him.
Chuck over the years was employed as a truck driver then security guard until his retirement just a few short years ago, he was not afraid to earn a hard days pay.
Chuck for the past year took up residence at the James Shouldice Lodge where he easily fit in and made some friends.
Chuck leaves to mourn his good friend and companion Lorraine Monroe whom he adored and treated like a daughter, she will miss him dearly as she often said “ good night Uncle Chuck” until we meet again.
A Graveside Service will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens (1515 100 St SE, Calgary, AB) on Friday, May 23, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. We would like to thank the attending staff at the Foothills Hospital of Unit 61 for their care. We would also like to thank Dr. Catherine Heaton for her exceptional care of the past several years.
In living memory of Charles Wilson, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park by McINNIS & HOLLOWAY FUNERAL HOMES, Eastside Memorial Chapel, 5388 MEMORIAL DRIVE N.E., Calgary, AB Telephone: 403-248-8585.
