Sadly, I never had a chance to meet Gloria in person but over the years I have talked to her on the phone occasionally. It was always a joy to speak with her and I will always remember her with a smile. I am thinking of you, Charmaine and Janae, and sending you love.

What moves through us is a silence, a quiet sadness, a longing for one more day, one more touch, one more word. We may not understand why they left this earth so soon. But little by little we begin to remember not only of their passing, but that “They Lived”, and your mom sure did that. We were always friends but treated like family. I loved your mom! She was such a good friend to me. Helping me out when I moved to Red Deer as a teenager. Letting me stay until my apartment was ready and taking me in again when I was between apartments one summer. Never asking for anything in return. I will miss her great laugh and hugs!
