Condolences
We only learned of Aunt Ethel’s passing today. Our condolences to all the family; she will be greatly missed. I have so many great memories as a child during my visits to Calgary, and getting into trouble with my cousins. Aunt Ethel is very much a part of those wonderful memories. Love from all of us.
Our sincere sympathy Gord for your loss. Over the recent years we always looked forward to meeting you, Ethel, Maud, and Stan at the TransAlta Christmas luncheon. Our memories go way back to FESL, Calgary Power, baseball, company picnics and other working and playing good times. Ethel was a wonderful, beautiful person and will always remain in our memory.
Our condolences to the Tarves family on the passing of Ethel, she was a very special lady and will be sadly missed.

Dear Gordon,
We are so sorry to hear of Ethel’s passing. I have such good memories of Square Butte Ladies meetings and our Christmas parties spent together. They were happy times at Millarville.

Sincere condolences for the loss of Ethel. She was a dear bowling friend of mine for 16 yrs. I enjoyed her warmth, intellect and wonderful sense of humour, and she will be greatly missed.
Dear Gordie, Donna & Dave, Dale & Debra
We are going to miss her so much! She was such an important part of our lives and a favorite aunt to our kids as they were growing up. We will miss her happy face and her stories that always made us laugh. So many good memories…
Love and hugs to all of you.
We are very sad that Ethel passed away as she was a second grandma to our kids and was a wonderful aunt to us. She loved to garden and gave us some great tips about gardening. She also loved to bake apple pies that were the greatest. We had great times at christmas and thanksgiving. She will be greatly missed by all of us.
Love from all of us.
Our condolences to the Tarves Family in the passing of Ethel. She will be missed by many.

I have been Ethel’s sister-in-law- for fifty years. We had some wonderful times.
She was such a fun loving and positive person. I loved her dearly and she will be missed more than I can ever say.
Dear Gordon, Donna, Dave, Dale and Debra,
I am so sad. Life was not so much fun for Ethel more recently… but I am reminded of the great times we had out at Millerville so long ago. These occasions with the TransAlta Land Department gang… the golfing on the three-hole horse pasture course that permanently squelched my original non-desire for golfing… the camaraderie… this is what sustains me at a time like this. We’ve lost a bright light on our earth.
I will always remember the day the raven swooped down and picked up Ethel’s pink golf ball from the fairway, flew away with it, and then decided to drop it on the green. She’s soaring with that raven now. My sincere condolences to all Ethel’s family and friends. Kind thoughts, Donna
Ethel was my older sister. She took care of me, protected me when I did something wrong and loved me always. We became more that sister and brother more like best friends. I can’t tell you how much I am going to miss her. She will be in my heart forever. Good-by for now
Ethel.
Your Loving Brother Ted
Ethel was a very special lady. She was my 2nd mom and I loved her. I will miss her smile, good nature and special talks. We had many good times and I have many fond memories. Hugs to Gord, Dale and Donna. We love you.
Auntie Ethel,…every time I would arrive in Calgary unannounced she and Uncle Gordon would give me a bed, food, great hospitality not to mention an oversized overcoat and rubber boots in June when without warning a “Chinook” would drop 6″ of unexpected snow while I was working on a playground project! unforgettable memories of family Christmas parties, first time riding bareback (on a 30 year old blind horse) my introduction to pancake breakfasts at Stampede by true Calgarian’s. I want to offer our condolences. Paula, Mark, Caitlin and Jack Suttle. We know she is in a great place along side her sister and friends.
