Condolences
Randy’s friendship was a true gift. He offered laughter, wisdom, adventure and an ever-present spirituality. We have such fond memories of Randy and Dawn’s visits to our various homes in BC over the years, and will forever cherish his lovable quirks, keen observations of life, and memorable quotes that continue to make us smile. He will be missed.
In our memory, Randy’s “Putting Friends from Sun City West, AZ” a great friend and a better putter than all of us. You are missed. Knut Andreasson, Per Bjune, Terry Cornett, Ron Edevold, Gene Frisbee, Tom Henke, and Bob Sauer
Dear Dawn,
My heart is breaking at hearing of Randy’s passing. I’m sorry I could not be there for the funeral and to give you a hug in person. Randy’s smile beams in my memories of him, as does the glow he had whenever he would talk about you. I always admired the generosity Randy offered me when I started teaching and his perpetually positive outlook. He was a wonderful man. Sending you prayers for peace in your heart during these difficult times.
To Dawn and the Boucher family, our sincerist condolences.
My wife Susan and I were stunned with the knowledge of Randy’s passing. I have many fond memories of Randy as we spent many years teaching, coaching and playing together while teaching at George McDougall. The one thing I truely loved about Randy was his sense of humour and his laugh. Although we did not stay in touch I still reflect upon the great times we shared at George Mac. May the fond memories you all share of Randy help you through this difficult time.

Dawn: Randy was one of the first people I ever met when I got involved with our local of the ATA. He took me under his wing and was my friend. Even though we worked at different schools, our paths crossed often at Rocky View events. He joked with me and made me feel comfortable. He encouraged me often and made sure all was well. He has left an impression on me always.
Dawn; Please accept our condolences. So sorry for your loss. Randy was a great guy. Remembering the times we had in Rocky View and the early days on the golf course especially the road trip to Innisfail with Jim Darrah. Take care.
We were so sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. I wish I could be at the service to see everyone today.
We send our heartfelt condolences to everyone and want you to know we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

My heart is breaking this morning, you were a beautiful kind soul that was a pleasure having given the chance to know. The day you crossed my path was one of the happiest day of my life. I will miss you and you will be in my heart forever. You are flying with the angels this morning.
Dearest Dawn,
It is with great sadness that I heard about the passing of Randy. Randy has a special place in my heart. When I first met him I thought he was a bit cranky, but slowly, slowly he softened and became a man to whom I could go if I needed wise words, a reassuring hug or a hearty laugh. He had a twinkle in his eye and a deep sense of what was right and what was wrong. He wasn’t cranky at all, he was just determined to do what was right – even if it meant making waves. Randy gave me a few little messages when we worked together. I will share one: “Make the best of your circumstances. No one has everything, and everyone has something of sorrow intermingled with the gladness of life. The trick is to make the laughter outweigh the tears.” <3
Dawn and Family….Our most deepest sympathy to you on the passing of Randy. We will cherish those fondest memories that we shared with him on the putting range and our get
Our prayers are with you…..God Bless

Randy and I were colleagues at GMHS for seven years. I hiked many a trail with him and our mutual friend Glynn Hughes. Randy was unique and always concerned about the dignity of his students and colleagues. Knowing how to deal with people and personalities was one of his strengths. He was imminently approachable. A great fun guy to know. Original and genuine.
I worked with Randy at Muriel Clayton and was so sorry to hear of his passing. I enjoyed the time we were on staff together and also chatting with him at ATA functions.
I especially remember his sense of humour!
Dawn, I am so sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. It was a privilege to have known him and worked with him at Springbank High. I loved his deep spirituality and sense of humour. His kindness and compassion for others was evident in his teaching and the students had great respect for him. My prayers are with you and your family at the time is sadness.
Both Janet and I send our deepest and most sincere condolences to Dawn. Randy was the first to welcome me to SCHS when I transferred there in September 1999. He mentored me in the teaching of mathematics to students of all levels and capabilities. His dedication to his students was second to none. I will miss Randy, a man of character and integrity.
I am sorry for your loss. I remember Randy’s sense of humour, his willingness to help others and I admired him for how he rose to the challenges in life he was given. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time.
Hi Dawn, both Geoff and I are so very sorry to hear of Randy’s passing. His concern was to make sure you were OK always. A lovely man indeed and fought so hard with his illness. A teacher too, such a rewarding career watching his students success. We are thinking of you at this time. Val
Mr. Boucher was my teacher when I was in grade 7 or 8 at George McDougall. I had run into him over the years at teacher conferences and such. He always stopped and chatted for a few moments. Condolences to his family and friends.
What a shame to lose a friend. His courage during a very difficult time was a model for the rest of us.
Randy was a very special co worker of mine at Springbank HS who walked to a different drum which is why I liked him so much and became good friends. He was the type of teacher who would talk up in staff meetings for teacher’s rights and often one could hear other teachers whisper “Ya … get em Randy.” I remember one teaching advice he gave me: “Between classes stand in hallway and say hi or bug students walking by, they love it.” His students loved him, his co workers respected him, and friends adored him! All the best Dawn.
Many years ago Randy and us were stuck on a very isolated trail north of Spray Lake in my Ford Ranger with a dead battery. We were in deep trouble. Randy led the way and we push started it down a ravine. It worked. Rest in peace Randy. All the best Dawn.
Randy and I go back a LONG way. We met when we both taught at George McDougall School in Airdrie and enjoyed one another’s company. As often happens when life goes on, we drifted somewhat apart but did stay in touch occasionally by phone. I had hoped to visit him sometime in the last few months but could not shake a cold and was not going to expose him to it. The world will be a sadder place without you Randy. Our condolences to you Dawn.
Our condolence to Dawn.
We was happy to know Randy as a nice and funny person. May he rest in peace.
Love from Knut & Britt. Sun City West.
