Obituary of Janis McBRIDE

1950 – 2013 Janis passed away peacefully on September 29, 2013 at home near Cochrane with loving husband Dave Semple by her side. Caring and devoted grandmother to Sam, Ben and Lucianna McBride, Lincoln McBride Boyle, and Casen McBride. Adoring mother to Truper and Jennifer (Thiessen) McBride, Tyler McBride and Morgan McBride. Predeceased by parents Helen (Chapman) and James Eadie, brother Jim and sister Jennifer of London Ontario. Will be missed by her loving brother Jason Eadie, sister Sarah Eadie, Uncle George and Aunt Lorraine Chapman, as well as her nephews, grandniece, cousins and close friends. Will also be dearly missed by Dave’s mom and family. Janis will always be remembered as a remarkable and gifted woman with diverse interests. Her loving, vibrant, energetic and kind-hearted spirit touched those around her both personally and professionally throughout her teaching career in the Cochrane area. Her genuine love for each and every student helped set them on a path for future success. A Celebration of Janis’ Life will be held at the Links of Glen Eagles Golf Course (100 Glen Eagles Drive, Cochrane, AB) at 4:00 p.m. on Friday October 4, 2013. Janis would prefer colourful, casual dress. In keeping with Janis’ love of teaching, and her fondness for animals, a donation to the Glenbow Elementary School’s outdoor physical education program or the Cochrane Humane Society will be most appreciated.
