Obituary of Violet McLEOD

Vicky, beloved wife of the late Ronald Alexander McLeod (deceased October 5, 2012), passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2013 at the age of 92 years.
Vicky was born in Tottenham, London, England on September 22, 1920. After finishing her schooling, Vicky joined the Royal Air Force (WAF), during which she met her future Canadian husband Ronald. They were married in London, England on January 13, 1945. After the end of the war, Vicky bravely crossed the Atlantic to start her new life in a prairie city known as Calgary, AB. After many years as a stay-at-home mum, she joined the work force and spent many rewarding years at Sears in North Hill Mall. After her retirement, Vicky and Ron wintered as Snow Birds in Arizona.
Vicky is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law Maxine and Jay McClelland; Marg and Fred Hunt, four grandchildren Matthew (Adala) McClelland, Steven (Denise) McClelland, Bradley Hunt (Deanna Hafner) and Julie Hunt, four great grandchildren Olivia, Sophie, Alexander and Claire McClelland, one sister Peg Edwards in England.
She was predeceased by her husband Ron, an infant son Richard, brothers Charlie, Ron and Don and sister Joyce.
