Sauce Terakita beloved husband of Shirley Terakita of Calgary, passed away on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the age of 82 years.
Sauce was born in Fanny Bay, BC. When he was 12, his family was interned to Slocan City BC and lived in the camps until the end of the war. They were then sent by train to Southern Alberta to work on the sugar beet farms. He attended SAIT in 1952 to become an electrician. After meeting the love of his life Shirley, they married and relocated to Calgary. In 1976 he ventured out on his own and founded Terakita Electric, which remains a successful family business today.
Sauce loved taking trips to Las Vegas and Sedona. He enjoyed many sports but golfing was his passion.
Sauce is survived by his loving wife Shirley, three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick and Annie, Craig and Deb and Gary and Lisa, six grandchildren Christen (Denis), Tom (Mandy), Matt (Megan), Ashley (Lane), Alex, Andrea (Rowan), two great grandchildren Lucas and Carter, three brothers, two sisters as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, two brothers and a niece.
