PETERSEN, Margaret Louise “Peggi” February 20, 1957 – Edmonton, AB July 4, 2013 – Calgary, AB Margaret Louise “Peggi” Petersen beloved wife of Randy Caine passed away with her loving family at her side on July 4, 2013 at the age of 56 years. Peggi was born on February 20th, 1957 in Edmonton, Alberta. She grew up in Calgary, Alberta. After graduating high school, Peggi attended the Foothills Hospital nursing school, and became a licensed practical nurse. She then moved out to the west coast for several years, and worked in foster care. Later, she returned to Calgary and attended the University of Calgary to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She graduated with First Class Honors in June, 1988. Shortly after, Peggi pursed a Law degree at the University of Calgary. On Feb 19, 1991 she married Randy Caine and on April 11, 1992 their daughter Miranda Petersen-Caine was born. Peggi took the academic year 1991/92 off from her law studies to become a mother, but graduated with a Law degree in June of 1993. After graduating, Peggi decided her calling was to be a stay at home mom to Miranda. Peggi was a very determined, compassionate and giving person who cared deeply about her family and friends. She loved doing arts and crafts. Besides her loving husband Randy, Peggi is survived by her mother Marion, and predeceased by her father Howard. Additionally, Peggi is survived by her brother Gordon Petersen and his wife Cathy Scrimshaw; brother Bob Petersen; sister Susan Lamb and her husband John, Mother- in-law Dorothy Caine, and predeceased by her Father-in-law Hoye Caine. She is survived by brothers-and-sisters in-law: Larry and Louise Caine; Scott and Rose Caine; Doug and Jackie Caine; Joseph and Barbara Cassinat. Auntie Peggi loved her nephews and nieces: Scott, Garret, Rachel (Scott), Sarah, Deanna, Tyler, Ben, Matt, Johnny, Katherine, Kylie (Garrett) Jared, Daniel; as well as, great nieces: Brooklyn, Hunter and Alora. The family would like to express their deep gratitude to staff, nurses, and doctors of the Foothills ICU Pod A for the care, and attention afforded to Peggi. Funeral Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S Crowfoot Chapel (82 Crowfoot Circle N.W.), on Saturday, July 13, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through .
