Obituary
Obituary of Lawrence John
14 September 1951 – 21 June 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Lucky, a loving husband, a great friend, and an over-the-top, brilliantly wonderful dad. Lucky passed away at home on Friday, June 21st 2013 at the age of 61 years due to ongoing health issues.
Lucky was his children’s challenger and their champion, he loved them without reservation, and took great pride in their accomplishments. Lucky’s life was one full of challenges, the first being struck with polio at the age of 3 and then ongoing health issues right up until his passing. His challenges were always dealt with constructively and the outcomes of which he dealt with positively. Lucky loved art and when he was well he always had an art project or a painting or two in progress.
He will be forever remembered and sadly missed by his wife, Sandy Aumonier, his two sons, Tim (Julia) and Ian, his daughter Sarah and his ever faithful four-legged companion Abby.
In tears we saw you sinking, we watched you fade away,
You suffered much in silence; you fought so hard to stay.
You faced your task with courage; your spirit did not bend,
But still you kept on fighting, until the very end.
God saw you getting tired, when a cure was not to be,
So He put His arms around you, and whispered, come with me.
So when we saw you sleeping, so peaceful, free from pain,
We could not wish you back, to suffer that again.
Love You Dad
