Obituary of Patricia McNAMARA

Patricia McNamara, born April 30, 1931 in Montreal, QC, passed away peacefully in Calgary on Saturday, June, 15 2013 at the age of 82 years. Pat grew up in Northern Ireland and returned to Canada as a young woman after the war. She made her life in Montreal with her husband Gordon. After his death, she moved to Calgary to be closer to her children. She was a member of Eastern Star, Friendship Chapter 125; former president of Southwood Seniors and a member of St. Peter’s Anglican Church. Pat was a wonderful mom, grandma and great-grandma to Cheryl Conrick (Glenn); Wayne McNamara; Alan McNamara (Claire); Chelsea Cox (Glenn); Brandon Conrick; Kathryn McNamara; Patrick McNamara and Austen Cox. She also leaves behind her brother Michael; sisters Ann, Diane, Claudia, Emily, Elaine, Faye and Gwen; and many nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her good friend Bernard Payne. She leaves us to join her husband Gordie; brother Terry; and sister Brenda. She was a gracious lady, always full of fun and enthusiasm and always young at heart. She was friendly and kind to everyone she met and we will miss her. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, 903 – 75 Avenue SW, Calgary, AB on Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 4:30 p.m. Forward condolences through .
