Obituary of Michael HADALA

1926 – Choderkowce, Poland 2013 – Calgary, Alberta It is with great sadness that we announce that Michael Hadala passed away peacefully on May 25, 2013 surrounded by his loving children. Michael was born in Choderkowce, Poland on March 12, 1926 and later served in the Polish Army during the Second World War. He and his family immigrated to Canada in 1966, hoping for a better quality of life. He will be remembered for his hard work and devotion to his family. Michael always worked around his home and was passionate about his gardening. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his daughters, Donna (Leon), Sophie (Mike), Christine (Steve), and Grazina (Brett); and his sons, Stan (Lyne) and Peter (Lorna); as well as his fourteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Michael is also survived by his sister-in-law Wadyslawa and his cousin Bernice (Willy). He was predeceased by his wife Stefania and his brothers Joseph and Kazimeirz. Relatives and friends are invited to Prayers and Tributes at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY’S, Chapel of the Bells (2720 Centre Street North) on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at 8:15 p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady Queen of Peace Polish Catholic Church (2111 Uxbridge Drive N.W.) on Thursday, May 30, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Graveside Service to follow in “St. Joseph’s Section” at Queen’s Park Cemetery.
